Okay, I'm going to give this a try. :D I love the light in this photo, it almost seems to glow with it, which draws the eye. I also like the balance of "empty" space and filled space with the more in focus grass. The focus is dead on with the butterfly really helping to bring the eye there. The only suggestion I would make is to make the butterfly less centered, as in the rule of thirds, at this point it would have to be done with cropping a little to maybe the top and one side.

You picked up on some of the same things that I liked about it. I think the light makes it and I love the closer grass. Thanks for the compliment on the focus of the butterfly too.

After that we differ a little because I don't really know anything about photography and it's rules but I think that if I crop it the balance ends up off. Like we discussed...matter of personal preference. I just think the grass on the right side gives it the weight that an off center focus would while still allowing the butterfly to be the main focus.

It is very much, a matter of personal preference and in the end it is up to the artist to decide what they're going for. :D It is a beautiful photo.
