As far as I can figure this is one of the feathers that an egret sports as part of their mating plumage. It was just laying there waiting for me when I went down to the pond the other day. I don't have on in my collection so I said a very profound thank you.

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
