Without further ado, I bring you an excerpt from his journal containing the winners and the finalists.
This turned out to be a great little competition, with lots of excellent entries, and a final decision that was so difficult to call, it had to be thrown open to the public.
Before I announce the winners, can I just remind you that these are the twelve finalists out of a host of entries, and as such should all be applauded for their quality and creativity.
This started as a throw away little competition, just for a laugh and to introduce people to the fun of 'reverse lens macro' technique, but turned out a lot bigger, with people becoming really enthusiastic.
Thanks to the judges. You had one hell of a difficult task.
now on to the winners.........Ta Da!!!!
by FIRST PLACE. This shot gained an early lead which it never relinquished. Well done. A worthy winner.
by SECOND PLACE. Many people commented on the detail in this beautiful shot. A great image.
by THIRD PLACE. This would have stood up using conventional photography, let alone 'reverse lens'. Beautiful shot.
The remaining finalists in order of number of votes. Like I said, these all deserve our applause, being the finalists out of a lot of great entries.
