A big THANK YOU to for hosting this competition and introducing so many of us to this interesting technique! He's also the one that has very graciously supplied me with the content to be able to do this journal. If you haven't yet met him you should stop by and take a look at previous journals to get a sense of his humour and maybe even enter his "Losers" competition. He's a hell of a guy in all the good ways!

Without further ado, I bring you an excerpt from his journal containing the winners and the finalists.

This turned out to be a great little competition, with lots of excellent entries, and a final decision that was so difficult to call, it had to be thrown open to the public.

Before I announce the winners, can I just remind you that these are the twelve finalists out of a host of entries, and as such should all be applauded for their quality and creativity.

This started as a throw away little competition, just for a laugh and to introduce people to the fun of 'reverse lens macro' technique, but turned out a lot bigger, with people becoming really enthusiastic.


Thanks to the judges. You had one hell of a difficult task.

THIRD PLACE. This would have stood up using conventional photography, let alone 'reverse lens'. Beautiful shot.
